Why it’s helpfulKeep paperwork with the right puppy or litter. Each photo or upload saves a private copy you can open again, and you enter care details yourself from the original.
Step 1
Choose how to add the paperwork
On a phone, open Add documents. The camera opens in Photo, ready to save to Documents. You can also open Documents & media, choose Add files, then Camera, Photos or Files. On a computer, open Documents & media, choose Add files, then Upload from this device, or Capture or upload from phone to use your phone’s camera.
Look for Add documents → Photo → Documents & media
A useful tipA saved document stays a private file. pupID does not turn it into care records.
Step 2
Capture clear pages
Lay each page flat in even light with the whole page in view. In Photo, check that Save to shows Documents, then take the photo or choose one from your library. In Scan, choose Save pages for a clinic document or vaccine label. Check each preview for glare, cut-off edges and small print before saving.
Look for Save to → Documents → Save pages
A useful tipDocument views are cropped to the page automatically. The original photo is kept.
Step 3
Choose where it belongs
In the camera, use Select litter to choose the litter or puppies before you capture. To link a file later, open it in Documents & media, choose Edit links, select the puppies or litter, and choose Save links. Always confirm the identity before attaching paperwork.
Look for Select litter → Edit links → Save links
Step 4
Enter care details yourself
If the paperwork records care, such as a vaccine or an exam, add it with Record care. Copy each detail from the original: the puppy, the date, the product, the lot number, and any weight and its unit. Leave a detail blank when the page doesn’t show it.
Look for Record care → Original document
A useful tipYou can photograph a vaccine label inside a vaccine entry to keep the label with that record.
Step 5
Save and find it again
Wait until the file shows as saved before you close the camera or the upload. Find it again in Documents & media, where you can open it and see which puppies or litter it belongs to.
Look for Documents & media
A useful tipSaving a document does not make it public on the puppy’s passport.
